New supported cameras and devices in 2025
September was the peak of 2025's tech season, so we can already recap the major launches for the telemetry-enabled video field. It seems this year's trend is 360 video.
GoPro
The new GoPro MAX2 records all the sensor data from its 360 degree predecessors (Max, Fusion): GPS (with the increased precision implemented after the HERO10), accelerometer, pitch and roll, camera settings⦠plus a new magnetic north stream that will be useful for computing true heading in updated versions of Telemetry Overlay and Telemetry Extractor. Most data streams are already compatible without the latest updates!
You can see how to work with full 360 videos in Telemetry Overlay here.
DJI
The Chinese drone manufacturer is also entering the 360 video field. The new DJI Osmo 360 is compatible with the GPS Remote Bluetooth Controller and is now supported in the latest versions of both Telemetry Overlay and Telemetry Extractor.

They have also released a bunch of new drones for all budgets and use cases, like Mavic 4 Pro, Matrice 4T/E, Mini 5 Pro, NEO 2... and the good news is most models (including many old ones) are now supported within the Telemetry tools even without the need to record video subtitles. This also means better accuracy and more data streams!
Insta360
The most news-worthy launch from Insta360 is not a camera but the new GPS Preview Remote with Built-In Mic. With previous versions, the GPS data recorded by the remote was either low frequency (1Hz) or low accuracy (few decimals). It seems the new version of the remote solves both of those problems.
